Erna Franssens: I think that people have to find their own interpretations

- What is your message, Erna? - My message is that if we calm to be on the top of the Pyramid "we as humans" we should start to go to other schools than we are forced to because the spiritual evolution as humans is rather pathetic. So I think my mission is to point that out. We should learn much more about emotions and energies between people and how these things work, recognizing also manipulation and hypocrisy. We talk about love but how can we achieve something under pressure of our minor sides. And if we recognize them in ourselves, how do we deal with it...... Do we use them or we can turn it in something better? I think that therefore I was drawn to tie this little six pointed symbol in the woods.... a symbol about unconditional love... it's not so surprising… it's completely non-toxic :-) So basically it is learning to think and to feel what is inside you. And also never to interfere in someone`s life...if they do not ask.... and if someone asks to consider if you can help "really.." In that way I think religions are a dangerous matter.... it should be lived in silence in our home not in churches and linked with political causes.... it should be a "silent guide" we should think in different layers and shades and not in circles. Circles are good to form at a certain moment to give a peaceful idea a boost. That's it. - What is your mission? - My mission? Whaw.... let your children make their own choices with what they want to do in life... and if they do not know... give them the time they need - What is your art about? My art -my life- is about finding a beneficial ritual of our own. Ritual ... I'm aware... is one of these dangerous words which immediately speak to someone`s imagination... What I mean with ritual is a truthful act of love that one can repeat to keep going in this life.... something to stick to that gives one strength. It can be a lot of other things which usually we do not give the name "art" but more than often we could call it also "art". Words, words... words that we say to each other or to ourselves should be wisely used... Repetition makes them a knife that cuts on both sides. - What are your projects about? - The Pythia project is about the interpretation problem. I think that people have to find their own interpretations and not with an in-between person can "color" the answer. So I wrote 39 verses to be interpreted by the listener or viewer. So as dreams we should be able to find meaning. The Transcendence project is all about finding harmony. Mirrors are silent, project it's about the reflection of ourselves in others. It's a process of energy. The figure that seems to be a bride is a sort of messenger that comes to you and keeps completely silent. Even if you ask something, so in this uneasy situation a certain process in the viewer is going on... A human presence in a forest is a sign that someone was there, not by finding cans and plastic bottles, but by leaving organic objects. Internet project Letters by post is a multimedia project: Part Audio. Part Graphic. Part Video with skype images. It is about creative networking. Katakuma is a short movie that I've made with Roeland Van Onckelen...a girl is looking for harmony... I start the scenario for a second short movie which should become a fairy tale-like piece:-) Music: ImagineThis, DarlingComeCloser, South33, Co-laboration with Nick Davies (Machiwater) All the music I do and make with other people is connected to all the other work. My book about Antwerp "Antwerpen door de ogen van een Russische vluchteling – Impressies en interviews"

In Estonia i have printed my fourth book. It is about Antwerp "Antwerpen door de ogen van een Russische vluchteling – Impressies en interviews" The first part of the book is in Dutch. This is a translation of my diary, which I did, living in Antwerp. I have written about the Gay Pride, the neo-fascist propaganda of the Kremlin, stripklub and prostitutes, the museums, the Flemish poetry, the cathedral, literature, the restaurants, etc. The second part of the book (in English) is my journalistic work: an interview with well-known in Antwerp and abroad people. This is my talks with famouse people and intellectuals. There are writers, musicians, poets, translators, comedians, human rights activists, politicians among them, but basically the writers. This is quite logical, because last year I lived and worked on my books in Antwerp, thanks the invitation of the Flemish PEN Center. I interviewed outstanding people with a big heart. These interviews are valuable not only because they are simply interesting, exciting, but more because they provoke thinking, indicate the existence of another world: a reasonable, fair, kind, humane spiritual. Annelies Verbeke: “I am a writer in the first place” Erik Strieleman and Katrien Scheir: “We even criticize the hands that feed us!” Joke van Leeuwen: “Being part of what happens in the world” Ingrid Vander Veken: “I am one who loves to learn and discover” Leki: “Just be yourself” Lotte Dodion: “Everything is about love” Maarten Tengbergen: “I decided to study Russian after a period of searching, wondering, and mental depression” Michael Vandebril: “Antwerp is a capital of books” Mustafa Kör: “When I write poems, they are mainly about love” Peter Holvoet-Hanssen: “I am a free poet-singer, not a clerk” Babl: “It’s just another form of slavery” Bart Janssen: “Opportunities will come on your path” Annemarie Gielen: “The reason for denying entrance were my contact with the Chechen resistance” Ludo Van Campenhout: “We only ask one thing: respect each other and respect the government” Nigel Williams: “I don’t believe in God, but I think I am more Christian than most Christians” Sven Peeters: “I am a real Antwerp Chauvinist” Maxim Efimov: “The Russian authorities... are pretty primitive people, who understand only the language of force. Their goal is not the development of the State and society, but power control, self-affirmation, and theft” In my book, readers will be able to feel the great spirit of Antwerp and it great people. I dedicated the book to my mom. I would like to thank everyone who helped me in my work on the book. And especially my wonderful translator Maarten Tengbergen, "the Dutchman with a Russian soul", which is used to translate the Maxim Gorky, and now he translates Maxim Efimov. Maarten has made a great contribution to the promotion of Russian literature in Belgium and deserves the gratitude of the Russian people and the Russian state awards. And my thanks to my gorgeous Canadian editor Jonathan Ruano de la Haza. The book can be read in electronic form: https://store.kobobooks.com/en-us/ebook/antwerpen-door-de-ogen-van-een-russische-vluchteling-impressies-en-interviews And soon it will be possible to buy in the famous bookstore of Antwerp De Groene Waterman. This is what i saw yesterday in the central bus station in Tallinn. Everybody was chatting using their smartphones and the only one man was reading a book. And he was homeless man.
