Erna Franssens: I think that people have to find their own interpretations

- What is your message, Erna? - My message is that if we calm to be on the top of the Pyramid "we as humans" we should start to go to other schools than we are forced to because the spiritual evolution as humans is rather pathetic. So I think my mission is to point that out. We should learn much more about emotions and energies between people and how these things work, recognizing also manipulation and hypocrisy. We talk about love but how can we achieve something under pressure of our minor sides. And if we recognize them in ourselves, how do we deal with it...... Do we use them or we can turn it in something better? I think that therefore I was drawn to tie this little six pointed symbol in the woods.... a symbol about unconditional love... it's not so surprising… it's completely non-toxic :-) So basically it is learning to think and to feel what is inside you. And also never to interfere in someone`s life...if they do not ask.... and if someone asks to consider if you can help "really.." In that way I think religions are a dangerous matter.... it should be lived in silence in our home not in churches and linked with political causes.... it should be a "silent guide" we should think in different layers and shades and not in circles. Circles are good to form at a certain moment to give a peaceful idea a boost. That's it. - What is your mission? - My mission? Whaw.... let your children make their own choices with what they want to do in life... and if they do not know... give them the time they need - What is your art about? My art -my life- is about finding a beneficial ritual of our own. Ritual ... I'm aware... is one of these dangerous words which immediately speak to someone`s imagination... What I mean with ritual is a truthful act of love that one can repeat to keep going in this life.... something to stick to that gives one strength. It can be a lot of other things which usually we do not give the name "art" but more than often we could call it also "art". Words, words... words that we say to each other or to ourselves should be wisely used... Repetition makes them a knife that cuts on both sides. - What are your projects about? - The Pythia project is about the interpretation problem. I think that people have to find their own interpretations and not with an in-between person can "color" the answer. So I wrote 39 verses to be interpreted by the listener or viewer. So as dreams we should be able to find meaning. The Transcendence project is all about finding harmony. Mirrors are silent, project it's about the reflection of ourselves in others. It's a process of energy. The figure that seems to be a bride is a sort of messenger that comes to you and keeps completely silent. Even if you ask something, so in this uneasy situation a certain process in the viewer is going on... A human presence in a forest is a sign that someone was there, not by finding cans and plastic bottles, but by leaving organic objects. Internet project Letters by post is a multimedia project: Part Audio. Part Graphic. Part Video with skype images. It is about creative networking. Katakuma is a short movie that I've made with Roeland Van Onckelen...a girl is looking for harmony...
